Microsoft has decided to give additional 3GB of cloud storage space to Skydrive student users. Currently, Skydrive offers 7GB of free space, which makes a total of impressive 10GB. All you need is a valid .edu email address to sign up for the bonus storage. This offer is limited to one person and must be redeemed before 12/31/2013. There are plenty of free cloud storage options available, including Dropbox (2GB), Box.net (5GB), Google Drive (5GB), SugarSync (5GB), and many more – but Skydrive is offering the most free storage. It won’t be surprising if the others follow Microsoft strategy to gain more younger users – especially that the cost of storage continue to decrease.
