High school senior, Sabrina Brady, won Google’s annual Doodle 4 Google contest. Her doodle got media’s attention and won people’s hearts. The contest is for students in grades kindergarten through 12 with ‘My Best Day Ever’ theme. Sabrina’s doodle shows her greeting her father after his 18-month deployment in Iraq when she was 10.

“Her creative use of the Google letters to illustrate this heartfelt moment clearly resonated with voters across the country and all of us at Google,” wrote Google’s Ryan Germick in a blog post. Brady’s Doodle appeared on the Google homepage on Thursday, and she will be awarded a $30,000 college scholarship. Google will also give her school a $50,000 technology grant.
